Easter at Lake Tahoe 2017
Rachel and Jeff surprised us with a special Easter present,
a three day stay at a rental at South Lake Tahoe
just below the Heavenly Valley Ski Resort.
We picked up Jennifer from the Reno airport
and were the first to see the fancy home.
As soon as everyone else arrived, we took pictures of all our kids
together with Ellen, Austin, Ashley, and Austin,
and with Jason, Maggie, and Carson:
After singing happy birthday to Jeff
and snacking on his favorite apple pastry,
we called it a night.
Following breakfast on Saturday, Joe and Rachel went skiing
while we threw snowballs and went sledding.
Later on, we drove to Emerald Bay for more photo ops.
Back at the rental, we had time for pool
and some soaking in the hot tub before bedtime.
EASTER SUNDAY
After attending Mass at St. Theresa's Church,
everyone prepared Easter eggs for the big hunt.
Soon after posing at the fireplace, we released the grandkids by age, about 30 seconds apart.
Alex was grabbing the first Easter eggs, when Ashley charged out the door...
...followed by Austin who quickly found the golden egg with extra cash inside...
Carson was the last out the door, but finished his hunt in lightning speed...
They showed off their findings back on the balcony.
Later on we headed towards Carson City in search of a special sledding spot.
Before our stay ended, we asked Jason to take one final group picture.
