March - April
In March, Lou Gervais stayed with us for a few days before giving a presentation to the Knights of Columbus. Wayne and Louise invited Gail and us to a dinner in Lou's honor:
A few days later, I took a couple of pictures of some brave arborists who removed a redwood that had outgrown a planter in our front yard:
The week before Easter we took a Trip to Melissa, Texas to visit the Sidler family. Back in California a few days after Easter, we joined Bill and Lana at LaSabla where they were spending a few days at a PG&E cabin. Bill and I took a boat out on the lake to try to catch some fish. We were disappointed but joined Barbara and Lana for a great lunch and had time to play Mexican Train.
That weekend we compared California wildflowers to the ones we saw in Texas. We joined Maggie, Carson, and Joe on a hike at nearby Table Mountain:
We continued our quest for wildflowers a few months later on a trip to Bucks Lake..
...Oregon...
...Seacliff State Beach...
.and Pajaro Dunes:
While Barbara hosted Yvonne and Carolyn during a Knights of Columbus meeting, and I was busy giving a Treasurer's report, Carson was receiving academic awards in Yuba City including recognition for his 4.0 g.p.a. We missed the ceremony...
... but we caught his concert and his final tennis match. He was celebrating Senior Day and his time as captain of the tennis team:
A few days later, joined Mike and Zoe, and Mike and Joyce in Fairfield to celebrate Zoe's birthday:
By the end of April, Jeff, Veronica, Hunter and Ever had joined the crew as extras on the set of the movie, Rust. It was being filmed near their home at the Yellowstone Film Ranch in Paradise Valley:
When May arrived, we celebrated Joe's 40th Birthday...
...then Mother's Day for Barbara with a trip to a winery in Auburn:
We also visited the gravesites of Barbara's Mom & Dad:
Later on, we attended Carson's last orchestra performance:
A few day's later we had a a surprise visit from Cousin Joan and her husband Tom, a great reunion:
