Dear Art and all,
Just a line to let you know that I feel better after a few days on the blink. I am doctoring with a Mr. Flett [?] … he went to the U.S.D…has a new line of med. And usu. works ”O.K.” I am & still gaining…weigh 132 now…was down to 119 when I left and just now I seem to be getting a little more wind & strength. About that white pig. I am afraid they will blister of sunburn not do well…would much rather have another Hamp [?] or even …. Cousin Liz [Harry and Elizabeth (Lupkes) Stevens, daughter of Jennie Collin Lupkes] is in the hospital at Burns for a while. Aunt Jennie is keeping the…there at Burns. I am at Bishops’ [Otho Elder Bishop, husband of Grace Lupkes (daughter of Jennie Collin Lupkes)]
again. Everybody has a cold here…We should keep as many cows as we can afford. I don’t want to pay myself short when the pigs…so we have to skimp your…again. It I near mail time…Will have to quit…hope you are all well. Tell the kids and Ma to write.
