CARMELITE MONASTERY
Barbara and I became caretakers of the Carmelite Monastery in Georgetown in October 2006. We helped our Carmelite Sisters by watching the monastery grounds, gardening, and taking care of various chores which will give the Sisters more time for their dedicated life of prayer. July '07 garden view from the patio, west side; egg plant and crook neck squash flourished. Zucchini produced well in July. Swiss chard struggled entire season.
