40th ANNIVERSARY

We found a great bed & breakfast place, the Trinidad Bay B & B, to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Our room, across the street from the lighthouse, had a tremendous ocean view and was just up the hill from the harbor. After a tasty dinner by the wharf and an excellent breakfast served by Jason, our host, we were off for another adventure to the Tall Trees Trail in Redwood National Park:
Pictures don't show how tall the trees are, although in the picture above on the right you can see Barbara at the base of the trees. Several of the tallest redwood trees in the world are in this grove. The pictures also don't tell about the four mile round trip up and down a ravine to see these majestic redwoods. Our hike also featured views of banana slugs and weird looking mossy trees.
The picture below gives a clearer and better view of the scale of the giant redwoods.
We have had a wonderful 40 years together.
