MANCHESTER TO MCGILL

The Ford Focus was cramped but got great gas mileage. We drove northwest across New Hampshire to Lebanon then crossed over to Vermont. By the time we reached Montpelier we were road weary and ready for a stop. Montpelier is the nation's smallest capital but one of the most picturesque. We took a picture of the capital building, a nearby church, and then tried the local crepes with Vermont's authentic maple syrup.

Sugared up for the journey we continued northeast across Vermont along Lake Champlain. Then we crossed over into New York due north until we reached the Canadian border. Soon we would be in Quebec.
