August afternoon at the Monastery fountain...

followed by a trip to the playground...

and a nature hike to local Indian shelters and wild blackberries

A 37th Anniversary ride on the Tahoe Gal...

past fancy cabins belonging to the rich and famous (Kaiser aluminum heirs)

Later on, a ski lift ride and a hike at Squaw Valley to watch the sun going down and the moon rising.

Next day, another ski lift and hike at North Star on the crossover trail...

Day three, an off road adventure to Glacial Trails (renamed Camp Robert L. Cole)... memories of fine dining and kitchen detail...

working in the tool shed, dealing with outhouses and open air showers...

...and outhouses...

climbing the rock in the meadow, putting on campfires...

pitching tents with the rest of Troop Six...

sharing the sink and dealing with the outhouse...

...more memories of shivering, swimming, boating at the water front...

...and hiking to the dam...

with a view of Old Man Mountain from the helicopter pad and a final view of Lake Sterling.
