Homosexuals' Civil Union

Comments from Pope Francis have cause grave concern throughout our Church. Sensationalized by media outlets and those who don't take the time and effort to learn the truth are bringing scandal to the innocents. It is our duty as Catholic faithful to seek and learn the truth, to encourage others to read the catechism, and work to calm the storm this is causing by speaking the truth with love.

The constant teaching of the Catholic Church has not changed. It's been said that Pope Francis, speaking in Spanish, expressed protection for those with homosexual tendencies. Not endorsing civil unions, but protection from prosecution.

Sadly much of the confusion and misinformation that tends to be reported regarding our Catholic Church could easily be silenced if the Truth was clearly spoken. In an effort to help, attached you will find the

St. John Paul II

Additionally, you will find the constant teaching regarding homosexual acts, and our duty towards those with homosexual tendencies in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraphs #2357 - #2359. In short:

"..homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." (CDF, Persona humana 8) "Under no circumstances can they be approved."

"These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite the sacrifice to the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition."

"...they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection."

"They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity."
