14: New York City to

Plymouth Massachusetts

Saturday, July 26

We put the excitement of New York City behind us as we headed up the I-95 corridor

passing through Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts on the way

to Plymouth Rock. Once we reached Providence, we decided to backtrack

to Cromwell, CT (near Middletown) to visit Joe and Helene Froula and family.

They had three children at the time. Now they have ten children and live

in Santa Paula where Joe is a professor at the nearby St. Thomas Aquinas College.

After our visit, the sun was setting and it was dark by the time we reached

the Pinewood Lodge RV Campground near Plymouth.

We remembered the first Thanksgiving as we finally enjoyed

a late dinner. Plymouth Rock would have to wait until morning.
