22. Miles City to Pocatello, Idaho
Sunday, August 3
We started Day 22 with Sunday Mass at the Sacred Heart Church in Miles City.
Then we boarded the RV for a long day's journey across Montana to Pocatello.
Our big adventures were behind us, so we were delighted that we could go as fast as we wanted on I-94 and I-90 across Montana and down I-15 to Pocatello. We followed the Yellowstone River through dry, flatland before climbing into the Rocky Mountains through Bozeman and Butte before turning south through more forests and rivers until we reached flat, dry stretches of Idaho.
The flat land was dotted with grain elevators, small towns, and wide open spaces.
The Pocatello KOA and pool were a welcome stop and a $20 bargain.
